Creating a Beautiful World
About Face International is a private, independent institution dedicated to promoting inner beauty and improving the human condition. Established by La Belle Vie, the organization’s mission is to provide opportunity and resources for those in need, nurture individual growth and creativity, and help improve public policy in support of the elderly, women, and at-risk youth. About Face International accomplishes this through three unique community-oriented initiatives:
- The Program on Global Well-Being and Equality focuses on international issues and serves as a catalyst for promoting and supporting the empowerment of women and women’s participation in economic and social life. Specifically, we highlight women’s advancement through entrepreneurship; establishing income generating activities; promotion of educational opportunities for women and girls; and support for women’s overall well-being and health.
- The Program on Human Sustainability and Community Connectivity addresses issues in the United States, including community and economic development. In particular, we strive to create a reliable network for the increasingly aging population so the elderly may live independently longer; helping those recovering or suffering from illness or disease so they can feel confident and get better; and revitalizing impoverished communities through education, entrepreneurship, and economic development.
- The Program on Youth Mobility and Opportunity promotes advancement of economically and opportunity challenged youth in the United States through training, volunteerism, and work initiatives. Specifically, we focus on establishing strong bonds between deserving youth and the professional community; providing youth with resources so they can assume leadership roles to better themselves and their communities; and giving youth the necessary tools to be independent and successful in life.
